Game isn't very lore accurate is it?
I see some guy in the teaser running on sand, people in Arrakis don't do that because it attracts sandworms, especially on drum sands. That is how thumpers work. So how lore accurate is this game going to be?

I think it would difficult to do straight lore and make a fun game. There are going to have to be differences.

As far as we know running on sand will also attract worms, just not instantly (worms cant teleport). So it is pretty lore accurate.

They have said this, also there will be zones that have less worm activity but the lead dev in the direct was very clear that worms are an ever-present threat.

That guy was a tourist. His name was Conan.

Not very lore accurate and a ton of creatures and characters are missing.

It might still be lore accurate since there are some zones that are safe from worms, especially when close to big rock formations. What was most dangerous in attracting worms are the "drum sands"

When the worms got to him, all we found was a hand.

Yeah but don't forget, people on Arrakis walk by "sliding" on the sand so they won't cause the "thump" of footsteps that attract worms.

Oh well, I doubt a game company is going to go into that much detail for a casual game, definitely not enough to satisfy die hard fans of the series.

Untill now All I see from the game is copy paste formula from Conan Exiles.
A good Franchise, some basic lore elements and story and thats it. Let the money come in.
Back then, I supported them with Conan Exiles ...However Funcom disappointed us because all they wanted is to milk us. Instead sit down and fix the game they just drop dlcs...
Even now Hackers ruin normal players, combat is trash, and the game has glitches.

Now, in Dune, they repeat themselves.
This game will be Dune only in name.

I don't know, but from what can be seen in the materials, if the creators manage to create something that matches the book and the movie.

and combine it with good survival, it will be a hit ^.^

the ignorance in some of these replies is insane. You saw a 5 second clip of someone walking on sand probably, it doesnt take 5 second for the worm to get to you and eat you, infact there is even a clip of someone, on sand, getting chased by a worm in one of the trailers. The worms will be a large part of the game, walking on sand or making to much sound/movements on sand WILL attract the worm. Not sure why the like 5 second clip made you think the game isnt lore accurate.

The game will be very LORE accurate, just taking place in a separate timeline (story) for the sake of gameplay balancing and fun. The creative director is working with the herbert family, legendary, and has read every Dune book iirc.

I dont even want to reply to you but what made you come to this conclusion? Because everything ive read and seen so far leads me to the exact opposite conclusion.
