It does have a trade system where players sell stuff to other players for in-game currency. You can also do local trades.
mmo does not mean it needs trading features
All some chav needs to do is firing a lasgun into a shield. BUME trololol everyone dead.
That's why the devs negotiated a small change to the lore with the Herbert estate. The lasguns in the game have a built-in safety feature that prevents them from being fired at shielded targets.
They could have had the nuke feature but it would have ruined the gameplay since the dynamics in a video game are different than in a "real" setting where people aren't simply going to respawn and the nuclear explosions cause permanent environmental destruction.
It's unlikely that in a realistic setting there would be two Jackass -type characters going to somebody's house, cackling madly all the way as they wipe out that house and themselves in a nuclear explosion as a prank.
Planetside 2 is a real MMO despite not being of the same subgenre as WoW or FF14.
There are lots of genres under the MMO category of games. You can find all about it with some simple googling.
WoW and FF14 are specifically fantasy MMORPG's, while Dune Awakening is a sci-fi survival crafting MMO.
