Though I guess it could turn out good too. In terms of style they seem to be nailing it so far.
Also wondering how much of an mmo this actually is.
So it will be an mmo with the twist of adding survival elements which were so far not present in this genre. Players who like both will like the game.

Here they mention something about exploration I think.
Later they mention playing with small groups or in guilds. He said there is a full PvP area which means there will be also PvE areas. They mentioned political survival as extension to the normal survival. And those who want to avoid it can do that.
Those who chose to fight will be able to be melee or ranged or use some abilities (probably like mages in other games).
If you want just to craft, or be an architect/builder, they said that will also be possible
