FUNCOM and Conan Exiles

Recommend extreme caution with this game. FUNCOM is quite simply the most horrible company ever created when it comes to FAIR play in their games if this game is anything like conan exiles you will find some fun in it until hackers ruin everything and run the user base up out of town making the game dead. expect ZERO help from FUNCOM once the hacking starts.

Funcom has good games and I love the Conan and Dune lore. But I am afraid the customer service will never ever change and will stay as bad as it is now at Funcom.
I think they gave up the control over their official servers and the control over server bans to some outsorced company that just doesnt care about your reports. The only thing they care is if you make screenshots of someone harassing you in chat. Everything else they dont care.

not a fan of failcom for their handling of conan exiles. but really, thats a drop in the bucket. what got me to the point 'wont cross the street to piss on them if they were on fire' was how they utterly ruined the secret world and the resurrected its corpse as a freemium game only to give it little to no support. i'd say ♥♥♥♥ them with rusty barbed wire but they'd probably like it.

Conan Exiles is a great game; if you have such an issue with potential hackers then play on private servers.

if you are going to offer an online service you have to deal with the cheating or you have no game...i guess something you millenial ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ just don't get cause your attention spans are so short.

also it's not true about every online game..look at world of warcraft...they have been around for FOREVER because they police their game and get rid of toxic players...i'd play conan...i'd even pay a monthly fee to play...if that's what it took to get some in game support to police and remove the cheaters..if you allow cheaters you have no game base.

ark has 1 guild per server playing on it...sure other people join..but because they didn't control the duping and all the other cheats going on that's pretty much what their player base is...

I agree, Conan had alot of potential. However even with Conan its loaded in DLC's its literally around $200 to play Conan Exiles. We can expect the same from this game. Im sure the gameplay will be solid but monetization and quality of the live service will be very very sub par

like conan exile the game will be a 10/10 and the hacker will destroy it. It's like EA, some hackers are even known from the community as they operate for years, yet funcom just like EA will ban you from their forum if you post their names.

Played conan for 8 months, the first 6 , the server was awesome, couple of big clans, couple of smaller clans, there was honor, diplomacy etc... it was truly amazing.
Then 2 hackers litteraly destroyed everyone in less than a week and they stayed there for 2months. We gave up and went on to play something else.

Logged in 1 year after, they both still there.

The worst part is, everyone reported them, but funcom doesn't care. I heard this tale on many other servers aswell.

You've made a great argument as to why this should not be an MMORPG, and should have an offline/co-op component like Conan does. I've never touched those MMO servers, and have a blast with Conan with friends and family
