For those whining about PVP, want to know an easy fix that gives you your PVE.

Can you imagine how quickly this game would get boring if you could play completely on your own

Actually, for someone like me who has severe anxiety (yes, even in games), having no one else around except for friends in a game sounds amazing. I might actually be able to do something besides get chased and sunk, if I don't exit the game to keep from panicking.

Friends of mine already had it, so I bought it when it came out. Seemed fun, but I didn't realize that it was a game you can't really play on your own (at least for me, I can't). When I logged on the first time, the thrill of sailing pulled me in. I was set to explore the islands and decorate my ship to my hearts delight with my cat. Then, as I have played and tried to explore or fish or anything, I find myself targeted. Larger ships seem to be able to catch me without issue. I can't aim to save my ship. Doing things on your own seems near impossible.

I managed to last against a skelly ship by myself, and it was HARD. I dare not even attempt to take on a meg or kraken by myself, so I try to run while taking care of everything myself. Taking on all of the pve aspects of the game doesn't seem like a free pass. You still need to work for it. If I am by myself, I don't even try for the reaper's chest or anything. There are others there and I don't want to even glance upon them or them me. That just means they will chase and sink me, even with the heart flag. It seems especially with the heart flag at times.

Just voicing my own on the "PVP/PVE argument" here, which will probably be met with things like:
"Scupper yer hide ou' o' 'ere!"
"Sprayed yer sails!"
or
"I'll damn 'ee an' yar vessal also!"

They are going to monetize being able to play this game in a sandbox form... They want to put this in the pirate emporium. They are going to make you pay ancient coins to launch into a sandbox server for no gold and no rep...

This is the main reason that I haven’t bought this game yet. No PVE only servers. Why try to complete a mission only to have your loot nabbed by some dudes next to where you have to turn it in at. I’m a busy guy as a med student so I’d prefer to be efficient and have a relaxed mission. No need to over complicate things with other people interfering. But atlas, some people have more time to farm games than others.....

Then dont look for games that are advertised as open world pvp games.

I mean game is just advertised as being a pirate game. Its gunna come across my ads at some point. lol

Imagine complaining about no PvE servers in a PvPvE pirate game where anyone can do what they want including plunder the loot of other players.

These servers are for people who want to do fun events with their audience or friends. If custom servers had progression it would undermine the achievements made by everyone else. and its a PIRATE GAME. If people want to sink you just because they know it will make you upset they should be able to. What they cant do is to be verbally abusive, you can report them for that.

then there should be Standart Characters and PvE only characters who can only play on PvE Servers with no options to switch back to PvP later on.

Да но я бы всё же хотел свой сервер! Где не было бы других игроков. Только те, кого я приглашу. И пусть бы золото и репутация сохранялась у меня на компьютере.

What would be the point of playing costum server? Apart from allowing 'roleplay'?

People always used the 'excuse' "ITS A PIRATE GAME".

Its artstyle is, its gameplay is, but have some morallioty? If people dont want to fight, they dont want to fight.

PVE is a much wanted feature. Besides, what challange is there for you hardcore pvpers to pubstomb on people whom probally wont even try to best you and just run off the map?

?Do you even play this game? This gamje has more PVE content then PVP content.. This game 'may' be 'advertised' as open world pvp, but uhm, facts state the pvp aspect is what only 5%?
