When does the 2025 edition release ?

Hello ! I'm intersted in starting SoT, but i noticed it was still in the 2024 edition. I was wondering if you guys knew when the 2025 edition would release ? (I assume it would release with a discount at launch, hence my interrogation)

Don't bother, just get it as it is

The "2023", "2024" etc editions only add stuff that you can buy separately from the emporium (the premium store) anyway

They're pretty much just a newbie trap designed to scam people into paying more than they actually need to

the only thing that is really worth waiting for in this game is the release of full-fledged PvE servers, without limits and restrictions. the current limited PvE mode simply does not give the opportunity to play normally to people who are interested in PvE content, but are not interested in PvP at all. this is what is really worth waiting for

Rare even consider turning Safer Seas into actuall PvE mode?

No. It seems the way Rare chose to implement PVP is a hill they'll die on. Personally, I think it's bad game design coupled with poor business decisions.

A full safer seas mode could be implemented. The devs could even make this type of account separate. They chose not to do this. It's my understanding that safer seas was recently made even more restrictive.

As an aside, after all this time, while the game does seem better, it still feels empty... and is definitely a "live service" game that checks all the boxes. This typed and as always, YMMV.
