plz help me understand how to play with people

I've had my posts deleted before trying to find people to play with. so im forced to use discord which i actually hate.

anyway today, i figured out how to use discord to try to find people to play with, and then even once people were trying to invite me to join their games... nothing. i dont see any invite come across my screen in game.

how exactly do i get people to invite me to games once i meet them on discord?

i just don't understand. he says is inviting me in game via my xbox game name. i checked 30 times and my steam and xbox are connected.

how exactly do i find people to play with? every time i try to get into this game i hit a brick wall. why is it so hard to jump into a game?

please someone explain to me how i can see and accept in game invitions when i meet peopple to play with on discord since im forced to use discord to find peoople to play with.

Use the xbox app if you're on pc, add them there as well and also enable friends from joining your game in the crew options.

Once I am on a ship in-game, I invite friends using xbox social:
1. Hold Win+G on keyboard to open Xbox Social
2. In the "Search for people" field, I enter the gamertag to be invited.
3. A list of gamertags will shown. Right+click the correct gamertag > Invite > Invite to game.

The recipient will receive the invite as an xbox social prompt.
If the recipient has opened the Sea of Thieves game, the recipient will receive an in-game invite. Click accept to join.

If this isn't working, you might need to check your xbox permissions/privacy settings.
