do cursed cannonballs affect the Burning Blade?

I would assume not since it's an event ship and skeletons can't get affected by some of the curses like sleeping or limp. But can a rig ball or anchor ball work?

When it is skeleton controlled a few of the curses will not be effective. When it is player controlled, they all should work just fine.
