Help
I have tried everything. Every time I attempt to launch the game, I get the error code of "Video driver crashed and was reset! Make sure your video drivers are up to date. Exiting..." And then the program closes. I have updated my drivers, reinstalled the game, verified integrity of the game files, everything. I contacted Rare support and they had no solution. I even factory reset my system to avail. If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.

I had this. Spent a lot of time researching. Just had to do a complete re-install of the AMD installer/dashboard.

Go into graphic settings and switch it from DX 12 to DX 11, that did it for me, not a single crash since.

You can change it in the launch options by right clicking on the game in steam library, clicking on properties and then typing "-dx11" into launch options (no speechmarks around it when typing it in). Then restart the game

Also did not work, this time gave me the error of
"There was a problem initializing Direct3D. Please make sure you are running Windows 10 and have installed the latest updates. Contact Sea Of Thieves support if the error persists. Error code 887A0005."
I'm running windows 11 and direct x12 on my rig.

Wish I could say so. But no solution yet. If I do i'm happy to reach out. As far as I can tell so far it's a hardware issue to do with the GPU.
I have this same exact issue. Nothing I do seems to fix it. Has anyone found a solution yet? I would love to play, but Sea of Thieves doesn't even start...

guys I have found a solution that works for me. I just manually updated my integrated video card and after I could play the game. If you use Intel graphic card so I suggest to download this version gfx_win_101.6647 and try to play. I hope that would help you as well.
