Sea of Thieves is becoming impossible to play because of cheaters

Has anyone besides me noticed that every four games, there's always one cheater? I literally couldn't play because of the rage

same , one cheater with a bucamarte and sniper hits me hundred millions times , with a little chalupa vs me and my friends in a captured burning blade , im frusted with this ♥♥♥♥!!!

Just deal with someone sniping me right through solid ground and then one-shotting my ship.

cheaters boosting their friend

report. sure. done that. some cheaters get banned.
then they return on another account for $1.

and the pirates boosted by cheaters are not penalized.

played hourglass brigantine/galleon asia/oceania last night during gold & glory
every match had at minimum 1 cheater.

no rage. just boring.

even got a 30 min spawncamp because they wanted us to scuttle/leave-game

but I kept coming back till they got bored and realized they can't taunt other pirates while they're on me.

it's unplayable.

Have only seen 3 cheaters in 600 hours and 250 HG levels. This weekend I fought against ALOT of sweats, zero cheaters though sorry youve had that experience. Maybe switch servers?

i've 300+ hg levels and 1000+ hrs

multiple cheaters reported were banned. majority aren't reported because my teammates don't bother reporting. not worth their time/effort.

switch servers and get 200+ ping?

so i get sunk because of ping disadvantage? i hit first and yet i get killed first?

it's just unplayable.

Who would have guessed that a game with day one issues still to this day but still releasing more cosmetics and battle passes has a cheater problem still?

evidently its no hard to get them. i found a whole ass website that sell the cheats. so Devs need to step up there game its not hard to find it. they could buy one and find ways to make it not work

I tried to get back into SoT over the holiday period and it roughly went like this:
First session I was griefed by a cheater who insta-sunk my ship.
Session 2, 3 and 4 were ruined by laggy servers which timed out my connection and I could not reconnect after spending a not insignificant amount of time gathering treasures and avoiding sweats as a solo sloop.
Session 5, started the journey but was just feeling deflated about the whole thing so quit and haven't been back in.

If they get rid of the cheaters and fix the servers, I'll give it another try. Otherwise, it was fun while it lasted but I won't be back.

70+ HG levels and 300 hours and I've never seen a confirmed cheater before.

There are few cheaters here and there, which is normal in any online game. Definitely not as much as you claim.

i was bringing the burning blade back and a whole ship of 4 was hacking and one of them said "i was banned before and i came back" it's always the burning blade or FoT

yeah i had a cannon aimbotter. They are in pvp too
