Captained Ships & Safer Seas
I have been grinding tall tales on Safer Seas for achievements and I realised that you cannot sail your owned ships in Safer Seas and I don't really understand why.

I do tons of nautical miles and other milestones on Safer Seas and it sucks that none of that time goes towards ship milestones and really makes doing Tall Tales such a drag when I know I could be levelling up my ship. (I am also going for the 15 ships achievement).
I know there will be people in the comments just telling me to do the tall tales oh high seas and that would be fine if the community wasn't full of toxic trolls.

I have a plethora of complaints about Safer Seas and SOT in general but this is the one that has been bugging me most lately :sotsad:

It's kind of annoying that you can't even use the sovereigns in safer seas but I suppose without other players breathing down your neck there's not really a reason you would need the sovereigns.

Aside from that using a captained ship is pretty much the same as a regular ship

I've never seen someone complaining about not having a captained ship for Tall Tales. You guys will find anything to whine about huh.

You don't get captaincy on Safer Seas because you don't need it. Nobody's trying to steal your loot so there's no rush to get it sold at the Sovereigns.
On top of that, farming Tall Tale milestones is an absurdly slow way of getting legendary titles for your ships. I'm sure you can find something smarter to work with.

Always someone smh

I'm grinding ship milestones? not just the Tall Tale ship milestone. Nothing about the milestones has to do with Tall Tales except for the fact that while I am sailing and spending my time doing tall tales I would like to have everything I am doing (that isn't a PVP related milestone) go towards my ship milestones as it would in the High Seas.

Having ships with higher milestones changes nothing except cosmetics, players shouldn't be punished for choosing to do a PVE activity on a PVE server after all if not for Tall Tales Safer Seas is essentially just a boat driving simulator

I also don't really care for the sovereigns in Safer Seas, I do understand why that isn't available and have never really had an issue with it. I do think it is annoying but I understand the reason behind it.

So there is really no need to be condescending when you misunderstood

We also need an option to automatically grind money while doing tall tales.

I just wish more of the game was opened on safer seas.
just man up and play high seas
what are they doing that makes them 'toxic trolls'

Nice to see you again storm. As for your question, if I am sailing with no emissary, no loot literally just the Tall Tale items and I still get sunk - that's what I would call a toxic troll.

That's not toxic, that's them having fun.

Perfect example of the type of player I am talking about.
You have nothing to gain from sinking crews doing tall tales, regardless players will do it anyways which is exactly why Rare should add more features to Safer Seas as it is the only escape from the horrific online community Rare has fostered.

thats not toxic, thats part of the game. no emissary tells me nothing, you still could have stacks of loot. consider that they dont know youre on a tall tale until its too late. again, safer seas is for tall tales. also tall tales have checkpoints

Well not exactly. I always make it well known that I have no loot players just continue because they are toxic and trolling.
But you are correct, Tall Tales is literally safer seas only function so back to the actual topic of adding Captained Ships to Safer Seas (this doesn't include sovereigns). Adding ship milestones and the ability to use your Captained Ships in Safer seas as no impact on the high seas at all.

Yes believe it or not some people understands this is a game and they can have fun using their cannons because it's not real life and cartoon pirates got no feelings or family.
they still dont know, even if you tell them, because you could be lying. never trust a pirate. but who would be able to see that epic ship name if its only on safer seas. the whole point of captaincy is to increase player interactions, whether it be talking about the name, or sinking it on sight because its called 'the black pearl'.
