No worries about cheaters i have 200+ hours and never met a cheater in the game! It also have easy anti cheat... if you want to buy it i would say do it. It's very funny sometimes and has a lot of content (and you have the most fun when you play with friends)
And if you wanna play ask ms =)

It's not, you can also get this game for free with xbox gamepass (first month for 1$), a month is enough to taste all content of the game :sothappy:

My usual answer to this: even if all you do is complete every Tall Tale once then uninstall and never touch SoT again (and that's ignoring a big chunk of what the game has to offer), that alone gets you enough time out of the game to make it worth the price tag.

The game also occasionally goes on sale, so you could also wait for that if you want to save a few bucks.
It looks fun but idk if it's really good bc when I look up the game on yt it's just negative

Nevermind cheaters, the worst thing in this game are the servers and bugs that keep stacking on each update.

I bought it when the game was more functional and i had a lot of fun, but wouldn't have purchased it if i knew they will just ignore all this issues.

Don't worry about cheaters, worry about bored players who will want to humiliate you until you learn to avoid or combat them.

If you're willing to learn from mistakes (and sink a lot at the start) then yes.
If you have a fragile ego then no.

yeah its a fun game just don't get too invested in your treasure and just play for the interactions.

Probably because you watch a lot of negative reviews or something.

I type sea of thieves and it's all positive/neutral
And some of the people who write negative comments dont even have sea of thieves lol
I've been playing for almost 3 years and never seen a cheater, but I don't play that Hour Glass garbage either where the cheaters mostly are.

cheaters are mostly in hourglass

If you want to enjoy this game at your own pace in the solo lobby, there is a safer seas, which I recommend if you are solo. It's the best way to play, and you can earn a decent amount of gold. On the other hand, the high seas are a different story. You will encounter a lot of hostile people and cheaters, so if you are a grinder, stay away from it.
Great game i mostly play it on xbox which makes it exsessivly harder for me, but ive mastered the pvp game mode by reaching level 126 in it, and ive only encountered hackers maybe 4 or 5 times. The main reason your seeing people complain about hackers is because their not good enough to beat high level players thus calling them hackers out of pure old fashioned rage. (im guilty of that) and the game has an enormous amount of content from lore to achievments and crazy hard bosses, my suggestion is buy it. :sotship::sotgrog::sothappy:

If you learn the game on Tall Tales in Safer Seas, you'll learn the base game and once you feel comfortable with it, you can go into High Seas.
