Safer Seas Question

Sooo.. I know they've added Safer Seas but with some really stupid restrictions.

I want to get back into SoT but not with Online Players nor any kind of PvP I just want to be left alone, cruising the Seas and do some Quests / Treasure Hunting and stuff without the Sweatboys sitting in their Moms Basement with nothing else to do than to attack a Sloop in their Full Crew Galleon.

Are there still restrictions in Safer Seas or can I finally enjoy the Game alone and in peace?

In Safer Seas, you can't sail your own custom boat. Some of the faction reputations can't not be improved, and the ones that can still be improved are limited to level 25. But they removed the penalty on gold, so now you get full rewards.

Guess i'll wait a couple more months, they will remove the other restrictions aswell.

They will never remove restrictions from safer seas. They want some kind of restriction there to push people to go to high seas and do pvp... like what this game was made for.

Well, they also said for Years that there will NEVER be anything close to "Safer Seas" and voila, they added Safer Seas.

They will remove the Restrictions sooner or later.

They're stubborn but they are slowly surrendering to the majority. There's nothing like bad stats. Skull and Bones is out there, teaching them a thing or two.

you can't sail your own boat as in "using the features that a captain's license would bring you" (like ship titles or selling loot to the souvereign), but you can use all cosmetics on a ship in safer seas (the customization works just fine).

The PvP or Pirate legend related stuff is not included (like Athena or Reaper), but the rest is more or less in safer seas. You even get 100% xp progress on your season pass; I do enjoy fisihing trips with friends on safer seas a lot.

Safer Seas is great imo to just sail around and do any thing you want to do if you don't want to run at risk of running into hostile players.

Imo you can definitely enjoy the game. The things not available are mostly the things that require interactions with other player crews/pvp related things, the restrictions of the reputation levels and the lack of ashen tomes.
