Hey i didn't play a lot last time in Sot but i have question is there is still so many cheaters in game. Today i fought one pvp and was at enemy ship with full water that didn't sunk ...

I'm gonna jump in here before all the "I just lost a battle, therefore the other guy cheated" prats flood the thread.

Yes, there are still cheaters. Yes, they tend to hang around Hourglass and Forts of the Damned/Forts of Fortune.

No, they're not as rampant as some snowflakes will have you believe. Most of the time the other crew is simply naturally better.

simply put just stay away from pvp hotzones and hourglass and you will likely not see a cheater in your play session

I've ran into 2 cheaters in my time playing. Reported them and they got banned so not that many for me.

is it possible that the other ship chated uf our ship just sunk without reason in a battle? We had 0 holes and no water, yet we sunk.

Actually cant confirm lol. I was stacking a fotd yesterday with some friends and we had a cheater continuously teleport into our cannons to a point where we had 3 people get into the cannons and getting the other one guarded so he can’t tp anymore lol.

I'm playing this game for 2k hours, last year hourglass mostly, the cheating got really bad past few weeks.
You calling people snowflakes won't change that.

Rare WANT you to record every piece of gameplay if you want to see a cheater BAN ... since they dont have any anti cheat and refuse to do anything ... you are screwed

Hourglass 1 out of 5 isn't cheating, honestly. The rest are just flying around, teleporting kegs onto the boat, and blowing it up. It's funny in a way, but not when you're just trying to reach level 100 with Flameheart or whatever. It gets frustrating when you're trying to grind through the levels, and you encounter these cheaters. All you want is a fair fight, but instead, you're dealing with people cheating and ruining the experience.

am lvl 130ish in HG havent encountered a single cheater yet in HG and only like 2 or 3 in my close to 4000 hours playing as for the whole record thing... course they do its a pvp game do u know how many people cry cheater simply cuz the other person is better and its easier to cry cheater than admit the other person was more skilled and out played you? easy as heck hell i can link a bunch of beardageddon vids, hitbo even pace22 and summit vids where they were called cheater yet werent ive even been called cheater in HG when i nailed my shots and dialed in hella fast.. (and then sunk in the next fight cuz i made a horrible move and the other team capitalized on it :P ) having video proof makes it ALOT easier to make sure cheaters get banned and not regular people who are simply better than the other crew plus in this day and age windows has record software built in... AMD graphics cards have record software built in... Nvidia iirc has it built in as well.. plus u can download any other software if u prefer... when like 90% of computers come with 2 if not more programs to record past X amount of time with a preset hotkey why wouldnt they require recorded clips to prove that the person u faced was cheating and just simply not better than you and ur ego was hurt so u cant claim they were better therefore u cry cheater..
as this one guy said.. its just good buisness.. to require a clip

Man i was in ship like 1m min with full water in deck and it didn't sunk. Enemy came back kill me and ship didn't sunk and you saying that I am bad cuase his ship has immunite for sinking ...
Also in past i met guy that teleport from ship to ship or was hiding in stones at island.
And ofcourse everyone is streamer that record his gameplay or to make shorts on reddit/yt for sure ...

i never said cheaters dont exist.. they do ive encountered a couple and ive seen a bunch of vids of them on YT i never said they dont exist
and what the aft does being a streamer or YTer hafta do with recording gameplay? windows literally comes with a record software preinstalled the game bar press win+g and then look at Capture u can set a hotkey to record your last 30 seconds no install required its alrdy there when u installed windows EVERYBODY with windows can do that
AMD radeon graphics card software has the same feature built into the driver that runs the card on mine its called Instant Replay u can hotkey that as well i believe Nvidia has something simular u do not need to be a streamer or YTer to press 2 buttons to capture a 30 second recording of a cheater to add onto a cheater report

edit: just checked my roomies PC as im on windows 10 and he has windows 11.. both have the win+G game bar that u can hotkey to auto record the previous 30 secs and its preinstalled wen you install windows operating system

for people saying "oh th how does it happen that i did not see cheaters." remember that the servers are region based. euroasian servers have the most cheaters for example. you can run into them so often you either get good enough at blundering 180's or at sinking.
