Game Locks Up When the Xbox Live Login Screen Appears

Playing on PC/Steam. I am constantly getting the Lavender Beard error. When I fix this by removing the Xbox Live ticket in my Credentials Manager, I can usually get back into the game after a few tries and signing back in to Xbox Live. Now though, I can't get to the sign in screen for Xbox Live because the game locks up and crashes as soon as the Xbox Live sign in menu appears.

I really like this game, but the constant issues I have had with it on Steam make me want to abandon it all together and ask for a refund.

I have put in a ticket on the game website. Still waiting.
