The game stopped working on Steam deck
The game has been showing a black screen on my Steam deck since this morning, does anyone know what to do in such a situation?:gaper:

Same problem both Steam and Rare had no fix. I only had the game 2 days and it broke. I did request a refund but had 26 hours of play ( 6 of them play hours was me trying to fix) anyhows over 2 hours of game play so no refund, no help and a unplayable game.

I was having fun, I was playing solo in safer seas due to having no friends but it was fun while it lasted. Just gutted that I only got 20 hours of play for my money.

chill. i play this game since 2k hours. they messed up anticheat or something for ps5 release. they will fix this eventually.

If you decide to chill then that's a decision you made, I'm OK with that because I understand everyone is different and we all have different goals.

My goal however was to buy this game so I could play with some of my old PlayStation friends this weekend. That goal however has been stopped by incompetence. I feel I have every right not to "Chill'.

I've been contacting support for days now, writing a message on discord about the number of admirers who can't play and do you know what their reaction is? That's right, no.

I asked for a refund got told no, I sent a support ticket asking if they had no intention of refunding then could they at least fix the problem.

After 3 days in chat with steam support this is the last response I got...

I did not name the support worker as I know that's just the script they was given and I see no reason to name and shame. But in short they are doing nothing!

No point reaching out to Rare as it's a UK company and in the UK its a bank holiday weekend (most people get a long weekend and they don't return to work until Tuesday).

Tbh I don't think any developers would of been working on the Steam Deck issues during a national bank holiday. We would be lucky for a fix in tomorrows scheduled maintenance but in all reality I don't think they will even start work fixing this bug until after the patch they already scheduled.

I wouldn't have any complaints if this was an indie studio and the game was free or cost a couple of dollars, but it's not. Specifically, I paid full price for the product, bought a battle pass, many different skins, and I’m not going to tolerate this attitude.

After this 1.2GB update, I was able to load in-game. At least on my end, it seems to be resolved now.
New update fixed steam deck issues, just make sure to verify game files.
