Breath of the sea despawning in boxes?

So I've been doing some breath of the sea quests and I think I found a new bug. When you put a breath of the sea in a coral chest then put it in the mermaid statue, it will be GONE when you reclaim the chest. Is this happening to other people too?

I believe this has happened once or twice for me too in the past.
Best to just but the breath in the statue by itself - there's always free space anyway.

Can confirm, also happened to me, got lucky 2 sea breath in same location, put 2 in one chest along random treasure, but when i've collected the chest on my ship? whole chest was empty, all gone, including the random treasure

i would also recommend the same tips as sir fail-a-lot mentionned : put breath of the sea DIRECTLY in the statue, can't mess up

but.. i can't see it! lol. my crew.. couldn't see it floating in the ocean. because of this we missed 1 or 2.

after that, i decided to always put it in a chest.

but now that there is this bug.. sigh. no choice.

Can confirm: putting in the statue by itself appears safe

i got 3 ruby ones on one place. When i got it to the ship, i realized they despawned.

Seems to still be happening. Tried to pick it up with a chest, put the chest down to and opened it. The BotS was gone. :(
