Ship just completely vanishing.
So I just finish a fort, I'm on my fully repaired ship. I make my way to the chest of rage I have on board, and then my ship just vanishes and I drop into the water, and so does all my loot. "Emissary lost" Has this happened to anyone else?

Why is this even a bug...? :steamsad:

If you leave your ship on top of any sort of ground or too close to walls it cracks warning you, if you leave it there for like 8-10 minutes it despawns.

The ship won't get cracked you just hear cracking sounds. I think it's to prevent people from abusing of shoving the ship on top of an island to make it unsinkable as some people are doing in pvp fights.
So if they do it for too long it dissapears.

If you do get stuck on land use the harpoons to winch yourself out.

There are situations where you're so stuck the harpoons won't work, they bounce inmediatelly.
At this point the best you can do, is if you have a cannon rowboat shoot blunders at the ship or explore the island in hope to find a keg.

Yes this happened to me once at an outpost, trying to get close to harpoon my loot, ended up bouncing of a rock, and it was like my ship black screened, it just vanished, no sinking nothing it was just gone. All my loot was there and I was at an outpost, so it was not the worst, just the loss of flag status. Sucked.

Now again this only happened to me one time, in over 1000 hours played on this game. It was more then likely a fluke thing. But it was odd my ship was there, and then just poof gone. Again I was lucky I was at an outpost

I was once tucking in a galleon that sunk my afk ship, they were so smart to crash into the island and stay there for too long. I killed a few and hide there they thought someone killed me.

When their ship despawned i killed 2 of them while they were WTF just happened?...they probably thought i was a cheater.
