Season 11
I just wanted to comment on how excited I am for the new season.
I love when there are UI updates that look good and the diving option sounds awesome; As someone who can't sink 4+ hours a session into the game, it speeds up the most tedious part which is starting the adventure.
I'm just very excited and can't wait to get more action into my game play.

I do however wish there was an easier way to get a Kraken encounter, maybe like how you used to get that one meg encounter.. I've been playing for so long and have only encountered a single Kraken, years ago now.

They spamm megs because you can just ignore them by sailing away and not shooting. But when kraken show's up you're forced to deal with it.

If they spammed as many krakens as megs it would be unplayable. Also if you're in a pvp fight and you get kraken you pretty much going to sink for free unless the enemy crew is extremelly bad.
You don't want to sink for free do you?.

Same here Naomus, always willing to explore new features and content. I haven't played any hourglass yet so this whole diving thing is going to be new to me.

Hopefully the new UI/interface will help eliminate some of the mystery surrounding some of the game mechanics.

I have seen/fought maybe 3-4 Kraken in the past month or so.

Krakens appear when there are no other event clouds in the sky, so they do end up being rare. If you notice no event clouds, your best bet to encounter one is to get out to open water, away from any rocks or islands.

The more you sail, the more you'll encounter them. I hit kraken booms and busts.

I totally get that, but I mean more like with how you used to summon the shrouded ghost, using the effigies, having 5+ players and singing the shanty. It's rare with all the world events always active, which is neat and all but I don't have all the time in the world to do all the events and hopefully survive, and then hope the kraken picks me lol I just wish there was a more forward way to encourage spawn is all

Nothing about the new season i find even remotely exciting. Basically the entire structure of what sea of thieves was is completely different. 500 levels of trading company progress for a little ring is the most ridiculous concept i ever heard, and is grindy to the point of absurdity. And being able to just skip sailing your ship to your destination takes the enjoyment out of sailing it. They basically said they want to ensure people are fighting over loot now, when half the fun is not knowing what the other ship has if anything. Adding more cosmetics which is getting old and i stopped caring about after a year into it. This update seems to be for the young kids with attention deficit disorder who get bored 5 minutes into a voyage because theres nothing to do and end up quitting. And the devs can claim people have long asked for rings but i have never heard in any game sessions or on any post of people wanting them. I think they are officially running out of ideas so they made an entire season the same exact game but completely different ways to do the game meaning youll have to relearn the whole game. Everything from how to choose a voyage, to the gold you earn , to world events, to achievements progress is completely flipped upside down. I just groaned the entire time watching the trailer. Being able to summon world events is ridiculous, as it was fun puttering around the world and seeing an event pop and dropping what your doing and heading over… this whole season just looks childish and boring.

Yeah i dunno, I like the rings idea, me and my friends are minimalist with wardrobe, we like to wear underwear and glitter beards, that's about it. But the rings seems to fit the pirate motif so well i'm kinda surprised they weren't already in the game.

We've only been playing about 3-4 months, and getting our sea legs hasn't been easy, so much content so many nooks and crannies, I learn new stuff all the time. I figured new UI might help alleviate confusion but no idea really, just a short trailer.

As for sailing around and seeing a world event and going to check it out, or sailing to a destination being part of the experience, I completely agree. I'm pretty sure we'll still be able to do this.

Well in season 11 people will actually do the events, if an event in your map is being ignored and there is a player slot someone should teleport in and complete it.
Is not that you actually need to kill the kraken tho, and eventually you don't want it because it's a waste of time and the loot it drops is worthless.
