Game will not launch

Edit: after spending hours trying everything, what ended up solving this issue for me was deleting the whole folder titled Jedi Fallen Order (when you uninstall the game through Steam, some files still remain in the folder. Not sure if this affected anything) and installing the game on another disk. Most of my Steam games are on an external SSD including multiple EA games. Sometime installing on an internal partition solves the launch problem for me, though this had never happened with a steam game before.

So I played it via EA play and liked it a lot so bought it on Steam when my Game Pass subscription expired. Now the Steam version WILL NOT LAUNCH at all. When I click on the launch button it opens the EA app homepage and nothing happens.

I have tried every solution I could find online (uninstalling the game, verifying integrity, uninstalling EA app, repairing EA app, changing registry, clicking on the other exe file etc.) and chatted with EA customer service for over an hour to troubleshoot, and nothing worked at all.

Just wanted to say the EA launcher sucks SO MUCH, and it's so unfortunate EA owns so many of my favourite IPs. Also wanna see if anyone has the same issue or has possibly found a solution. Cheers!

I'm having the same issue from lastnight
I could play yesterday morning and lastnight no ea game launching.
I have tried jedi fallen order ,jedi survivor ,star wars squadrons ,battlefront 1&2 and all battlefields no one is launching.
Own all my games on steam
I really don't like these launchers always causing some kind of an issue.

For me only this one game won’t launch. I suppose there's something wrong with your EA app so maybe do some troubleshooting on that. I agree launchers always cause issues!

I repaired the app nothing works.
Verified games nothing.
See other people also having issues.
Will keep trying

Okay looks like I got it to work cleaned the ea app cache

I got mine working by running the

SwGame-Win64-Shipping.exe

in

Steam Games\steamapps\common\Jedi Fallen Order\SwGame\Binaries\Win64
