Poor game mechanics in fighting
I like the Star Wars lore and this game in general but the one thing I despise is the lack of good game mechanics while fighting melee enemies. The amount of times I got hit while moving away from the hitbox by jumping or dodging and some how still get hit. Or the fact that I use a heavy attack on an enemy and often doesn't even stagger or stun them, and hit me before my character finishes his movement. Or when dodging red attack by getting out of the way but the enemy tracks me in a weird angle like an aimbot and stills hits me. It just doesn't feel good to me and I honestly expected more from the game devs. Whats your take on this?

Also I had a hard time accepting that when starting and learning the game I was getting beaten up by frogs, rats and goats. I should slice them with 1 hit using my lightsaber. I rather have 5x more enemies that I can 1 hit than 2 enemies I have to hit three times (with applied game mechanics above).
Sure I have a skill issue when starting as a casual gamer on hard. But changing this would make this game so much better for me going from a 6/10 to a 8/10

Yeah i had those too, but for the most part i think the slow force power that they give you right from the start trivizalize most fights, since after you get the stim/force recharge skill you have a lot of force, not a very good system to be fair.
The game is soulslike after all, you have to memorize the moveset or you will have issues fighting everything.
This game would be so much better with some form of Old Republic saber krystals build you know, some gave force, others damage, even the exploration would be more rewarding then just cosmectics.
Maybe a armor system too for damage mitigation, so much potencial, and we didnt have any cities too, i didnt play the sequel though, maybe thats all in there, i doubt it.

Yeeeah, all these "boss fights" are so poorly made that it doesn't matter what difficult u pick because you have to counter every single attack PERFECTLY. And if you somehow manage to stay enough long without taking any damage, it almost FORCES u to take hit every time on same move, even tho u counter it :D

And that same reason I already desided to NOT BUY second game...just because I don't trust that they have changed "working" combat.

Also funny thing is that at the beginning, scout trooper commander feels so strong and was kind a hard counter. But in time with same combat mechanics used like before, it later will be weak like no reason.

Story is cool, but combat super bad.

I'm not sure if we played the same game but the combat is pretty excellent.

It is very lack lust indeed. I had some wonderful issues with stuttering too, so my experience was tad ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I also felt the story was just as half baked as the combat. Setting was kool but everything else was very subpar. Had just enough going for it to see me through to the end.
