I haven't come to this far yet and try it out myself but it seem to me you are right about the event that play the button onscreen that 'pulses'. I have seen this in quite some games now and have to say this is how you might be able to win a battle or any sort of what game you play. Some game use it as a puzzle to put there in the correct moment and for me personaly have been always a joy to figure out things in games and found that olmost every game uses the same concept like this.
I do not know for console games, I asume it is the same way but only with controller, I play on pc only. I maby post here again when I come to to encounter that '9th lady' and tell my conclussions.
This intresting post and lets see what others think of it :)
namaste 🙏
Ninth Sister is the only boss I've actually been able to parry. Big, slow, telegraphed moves. Easiest boss fight IMO.
No matter what button it says:
The first and third/last should be whatever your basic attack button is.
The second should be the dodge button.
So if you’ve remapped these two buttons, it will be whatever you remapped them to.
I also agree about the ease. I wouldn't say she's the easiest, I'd say it's probably the one I adjusted to the quickest. Figuring out her moves is easy. I was able to get her close to death with all my stim packs after, like, 3 tries. I think I became a better fighter bc she's easy to fight back against, and you have a whole lot of Jedi powers by that point.
Absolutely agreed about what the buttons should be, but I never remapped.
..settings.. Gameplay.. turn on the "Disable button mashes and quick-time events", Then spam, not just hold, the attack or other required buttons all 3 times the 9th sister locks onto Cal. Before this fix, 9th Sister always finished her kill shot on me.
For some reason I never quite clicked with the combat in this game. There were moments when it all came together beautifully - blocking, parry etc then I'd get totalled by a 'trooper with a stun baton.
Maybe I just started the game when I didn't have enough patience for it. Interesting though that by the end, unlike say Assassin's Creed games, I didn't feel completely overpowered despite investing heavily in the skill tree.
