Any tips for the battle the old guy with no shirt?
I forget his name. xD

Do you guys have any tips for his fight? I have attempted this like 30 times already and I am pretty annoyed. Also, how close to the end of the story am I if I am fighting this dude?

Edit: So I finally beat him, I actually managed to make the boss fight glitch out and he couldn't move or attack or anything. I don't feel good about this, I will probably replay the boss fight soon.

You're almost there. He has a very distinct pattern, just get your dodges down.

Ok, so basically what I've been doing. I just get annoyed because the slightest mistake can completely mess you up. xD

Thanks for the answer.
Malicos can be pretty tough. You can lower the difficulty for a single fight, then bump it back up if you want.

Here's a post talking about how to beat him..

Eh, I like the realistic feeling of the difficulty I am on now, but thanks. And I will check out the links you posted. Thanks!
I like them too... until it becomes frustrating for one fight, then I don't mind changing the difficulty down for just a few minutes to get past a certain point. But, I admire your spirit! :-D
You have to be a mix of defensive and aggressive. Try to parry his first attack and hold block through the combo, even if you don’t get the parry. Keep attacking him when he’s just blocking so you can break his guard and get hits in. You can also force push him when he starts running at you, and this will instantly break his guard for a few moments. If you’re quick enough you can get some hits on him.

If I start on a difficulty, I want to finish on that difficulty.
I understand.
What I found the most important is parrying his attacks. Three successful parrying in a row and he is defenseless. That's the key. Also, try to force push the stones when he throws it in you. It deals considerable damage to him.

If you haven't already beaten him, some of his attacks are unblockable regardless of the red outline most enemies have. If he jumps in the air or spins around, it's best to not block it and just dodge or jump away. With that said, his first attack is usually parryable.

He's also resistant to the force unless he's attacking, so if he starts an attack you can push him or slow him to close the distance.

I've already beaten him, but thanks anyways.
Nobody here suggested getting more stims? That's pretty integral to the whole combat experience. Okay, well. You need more stims for this segment if you wanna keep the attempt number down.

I did it with 4 and I wish I had saved my time and just went and found some more stims. 4 stims meant over 2 hours of trying and I was starting to give up. I can attest that you can definitely do it with less than you should have (optimal about 6, I'd say), but it's gonna take you a while.

I tried to smash the game out without exploring much (since most the rewards are lightsaber parts and ♥♥♥♥♥♥' ponchos anyway), and well, the late game fights, like Gorgara and Malicos, do not support having only 3 or 4 stims without copious levels of 'gitting gud'
