The idea of multiple inquisitors is kinda dumb...
The fact that there are like 10 of them is just ridicilous.
When they introduced Grand Inquisitor in Rebels I was fine with it , he was Vader's Ventress basically , then after he died they introduced 3 more , it was kinda dumb but ok and then Vader comics introduced like sh*t tone of them , like why ? It kinda makes no sense that Empire would spare Jedi if they join them , it kinda ruins the whole Sith will destroy the Jedi. Might aswell make a new order.
This also ruins whole Vader hunting every jedi down and would kill them by himself , that was one of the best things about him ( yes I know he didn't hunt every jedi down , but still , the overall idea of him doing it was perfect ), now he just sends his little robins after them.

At least 2nd sister didn't use her lightsaber to fly away...

Oh btw , this is all canon

Imo they went a bit overboard with this.

Inquisitors were also in the rough draft of the script that eventually became A New Hope. Well, at least one was: Darth Vader. Before Darth became a title and it was still just his name, his title was Inquisitor.

I know they are in legends too , but legends aren't canon , they could've at least explained why they choose specific jedis to become Inquisitors and why is Palpatine ok with this ? He was paranoid around Dooku having Ventress but is ok with Vader having 10 of them ? Sure , maybe he was paranoid cause Dooku training Ventress to overthrow him might've ruined his plans for the future empire , but still what makes him think Vader won't train all of them to overthrow Palpatine.

There wouldn’t be much point to the concept if it was only one Inquisitor. Hence why the didn’t make Vader one in a New Hope. The Spanish Inquisition, which they are loosely based on, was also a group.

They exist so Vader could enforce the Empire and not have to constantly be going after Jedi himself. Also I imagine Palpatine doesn’t care about them overthrowing him because they are mostly padawans that were broken through torture, and are incredibly weak compared to him.

I haven't finished the game, So I can't speak for any lore the game might tell at the end about the inquisitors, But the way I view it The Sith & empire weren't JUST trying to wipe out jedi, They were trying to wipe out any and all traces of the force or people's ability to use it.

Darth Vader of course would be the one to hunt down and kill the more skillful jedi, But he can't police an entire GALAXY for traces of force users. This is where the inquisitors come in. They do the spy work, the information gathering, If they run into a jedi they can kill they take him out, If not then they call Vader. But for the most part their jobs are snuffing out the force and force users, People who aren't jedi and too small fry for Vader to be bothered with.

In terms of the Spanish inquisition: Look at force users as Heresy users, You don't send the High Priest to deal with every little whisper of Heresy. Instead you send your inquisitors to be your eyes, ears, and Enforcers.
