How do the Bounty Hunters Work?

So, I’m playing the game on PS4, and I discovered that I’m missing the scan for the Haxion Brood Bounty Hunter. This seems to be the only scan I need for the enemy scan achievement. I already have the Scum and Villainy trophy. I’ve been fighting these guys a lot without realizing I still needed to scan one of the enemy types.

I know that there are set locations these guys spawn on each planet, and resting seems to change whether they show up. But lately I’ve been repeatedly resting and checking known spawn locations to try and get the type I need to show up, and that doesn’t seem to be working.

Is there a limited number of these guys in the game?

If I defeat a bounty hunter group at one location, does that location become unavailable for them to spawn? Though, I feel like I’ve beaten multiple groups at the same location.

If I start a new game, will just getting the one scan I need count for the achievement, or will I need to scan all enemies again?

Does anyone know exactly how these guys work so I can get the last scan I need in order to platinum the game?

They definitely reappear in the same places, multiple times. I'm assuming endlessly, but don't know how to test that, because you know: infinity.

Heard there were some glitches with getting that scan though. I did get it, but have seen some post that they're not showing up for some. Wish I had more info.

Yeah so, I got the patch update for the game the other day, and it turns out I actually did have the Bounty Hunter scan as I suddenly had it after the update, it just didn’t show up as completed in the tactical guides and I didn’t get the trophy. Nor did I get the trophy after the update.

So I guess I just have to play through the game again. To be fair, I was planning to do a Grand Master Run anyway, and started one.
