Ea Play is Broken and I cant play the game

I just want to play the game. I know that there is a way to play the game through the files, but I want my achievements and play time logged. Is EA even working on fixing the problem? I cant find any solutions and would love if anybody could help me out.

if ur talking about EA launcher its working fine which is odd to say.. if ur having an issue w ea play then idk why ur on a steam discussion

I have the game on Steam and every time I try and Launch it the Ea Play app pops up with a message that says game failed to launch try again later. I am not the only one with this problem but i havent found a solution that lets me play the game and have my achievements.

verify the game files on BOTH steam AND ea.. theres a chance a file could be corrupt. lmk

Try this, this is what worked for me:

Uninstall the game.

Go to the EA website and unlink your Steam account.

Reinstall the game.

Launch the game. Enter your info on the EA app when it pops up and relink your accounts when prompted on the EA app.

This is the only thing that worked for me so I could play the game through Steam and get Steam achievements and play time.

If you buy the game on steam then it should work on steam shouldn't it? Not default to the ea app! Wanted to the get the cards and achievements.

Encontré la solución, lo que tienes que hacer es entrar a la carpeta donde están los juegos de steam y copiar la que dice Jedi Fallen Order, luego buscas la carpeta que dice EA Games y pegas la carpeta Fallen Order, me funcionó y me dio todos los logros que tenia pendientes, espero les sirva.

Same issue here. What;s funny it worked fine the first two times I played, but haven't since then. I found a work around but found it didn't save my game. Sigh.

So I downloaded the EA app to reinstall. It said I had the app already (I didn't uninstall) and it gave me an option to repair. I did, and resigned into EA and the game now works.

If EA play doesnt work for you, thats an error on your user end. Not EA's or steams. Its something wrong with your setup.

Honestly, the EA client is crapware. It's been problematic for 15 cuzillion people. You only need look in all the forums for all the EA games and the EA client itself to see this. Sure, it works fine for 'SOME' people... when they happen to play. But, the cuzillions of ppl reporting issues can't ALL just be ignorant PC users that aren't doing things right, can they? IDK... maybe but, I'm kind of doubtful on that. So, my solution has just been to disregard that crapware client and keep using the Origin client or use the 'shipping.exe' as others have posted about...

Fix if using EA client;
To bypass the EA App;
1. Right-click Jedi: Fallen Order in your Steam Library
2. Select Properties
3. Put the following in "Launch Options" under General (it should be the first thing you see)

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jedi Fallen Order\SwGame\Binaries\Win64\SwGame-Win64-Shipping.exe" %command%

Change the directory path to the correct one for your installation obviously. That's just the 'default' path.

4. Close the Properties and run the game, this should now directly launch the game rather than needing to query EA Servers.
