Try this, this is what worked for me:
Uninstall the game.
Go to the EA website and unlink your Steam account.
Reinstall the game.
Launch the game. Enter your info on the EA app when it pops up and relink your accounts when prompted on the EA app.
This is the only thing that worked for me so I could play the game through Steam and get Steam achievements and play time.
Good luck brother, may the Force be with you.
My advice to you is that it is better to be silent if you have nothing meaningful to say!!
I am having the exact same problem as the person who originally posted this message.
Exactly my point too! Thanks
You're jsut going to sell those for 3 cent.
Jus saying.
If EA play doesnt work for you, thats an error on your user end. Not EA's or steams. Its something wrong with your setup.
Linux aint officially supported.

Fix if using EA client;
To bypass the EA App;
1. Right-click Jedi: Fallen Order in your Steam Library
2. Select Properties
3. Put the following in "Launch Options" under General (it should be the first thing you see)
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jedi Fallen Order\SwGame\Binaries\Win64\SwGame-Win64-Shipping.exe" %command%
Change the directory path to the correct one for your installation obviously. That's just the 'default' path.
4. Close the Properties and run the game, this should now directly launch the game rather than needing to query EA Servers.
It was your "elegant" answer that bothered me when the person had a problem, but of course people like you have to answer "Ehhh Well, but I don't have a problem Ehhh and then everyone else is an idiot if they have a problem..."
You're not the only one making this mistake, dude
