When you have the EA client open....there's option in settings to link steam account.....can also be seen with steam icon on right hand side of client window. Should be able to do it through the client.... you'll need it installed anyway for some of these EA games.

I've gone though circles with everything. If I try to login via the web with the Steam account I get "Credentials expired". I reset and the SH!TAZZ EA app keeps telling me the same thing "Something went wrong... To continue linking your EA Account, head back and start over." Been messing with this for an hour, lost interest in the game F**K YOU EA....

Well, the new EA client is Crap! imo......and many others....so, a lot of us re-install the Origin client to use instead. There's a whole thread on it in EA forum....under the EA client sub-forum...name 'Give us back our Origin client.' Basically, after you've installed the ea client, you change it's setting to install games in the original Origin client location.....\Origin Games\ directory. Then you install the Origin client....it logs you in...updates....then softlocks due to that EA client notice. Close it, open the 'local.xml' file and add a line of code into it and save. This removes that popup notice and you can use Origin again. Steam will still try an launch EA client if you use the Play button in it. Instead, run the Origin client first and launch game from it. When you do install the game from steam, Origin still shows a 'download' button instead of 'Play' but, you hit it and it finds the steam install, then turns into a 'play' button.

Edit: See this thread for a more thorough instruction;

Thanks a lot for sharing this. Its a lot of loops to jump through , might give it a try somewhere next week. but thanks again for sharing. you have been much more helpful than anything from EA support.

What a crap ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this is from one of the biggest names is the bizz.

Yeah, their management must have had some kind of switch up with some real bone-heads in it now. And, the EA client devs are really doing the pooch. Their so-called 'EA support' isn't even their company.....it's 3rd party so, they don't know Jack Diddly about the Clients or the games. Better off looking through the forums.
