Hitching/Stuttering
What is wrong with this game? I have a beefy PC and have even turned down the settings, but the game is hitching constantly :(

"recommended specs 32GB -

system ram usage is 6GB only this game is POORLY OPTIMIZED also uses directX 11 which puts all the rendering on 1 core. Refunded this game. Not worth even half price for such a poor performance. Installed in on my 960 Pro ssd and cpu is 4.6GHZ stable and 4000MHz ram CL 17. It is the game hands down. There is no fix as steam users are retar... ima just hold that back. No fix

I just asked my friend if he experienced any stuttering on his Xbox One X and he said no.

Looking at this comparison (4:15) it seems like every version of Xbox stutters at transitions just as consistently as on pc. Although the stutters seem to be much less noticeable when you're running the game at 30 fps, might explain why your friend claims to have none.

I mean, my game is constantly freezing. It's insane.

I don't know what to say. My game only stutters when I'm passing through a transition zone, the only time when the stutters have noticeably impacted my gameplay experience was during the first purge trooper encounter since that fight was placed right between 2 different transitions.

I wish i could get a refund. The game is not fun to play.

Hey I've been having the same issue and apparently its just how the game works. Stutters happen when the game is loading it's assets even if you're in the middle of a fight. I just turned off motion blur and kept on playing with vsync off and on and it seems to help suppress the fps drops

This is happening constantly though. Every few seconds of gameplay.

Hmm that is weird. Tbh even tho I have a high end rig I still get the occasional fps drops but that's only when loading a new area or assets. Like I said try turning vsync on and motion blur off

I’m not talking about frame drops, I’m talking about the game actually freezing for a second every 30-40 seconds of gameplay.

Hmmm I see. I would suggest you to try repairing the game on your origin library. If that doesnt work then try reinstalling the game but this time try to move it to your ssd if you still have a reasonable amount of space left. Other than that then maybe it's time for you to upgrade your rig

I reinstalled it on my SSD the other day but it hasn’t helped. I have a 1080Ti and 16GB of ram.

Your rig alone shows that it should be more than enough to run this game. I know it's an optimization issue because almost the majority of every individual that played this has suffered from fps hiccups and stutters.

This is an unfortunate reality with this game. I spent 3.7 hours of my current playtime fiddling with settings to get it running the best I could, and I was able to do it.

What worked for me was to have all settings on High, playing at 1080p resolution, V-Sync on and FPS limited to... 30. Yeah, not ideal, but I experience almost no stuttering with these settings. The game is surprisingly smooth at that frame rate, and still enjoyable for me. I tried basically all settings, V-Sync off, frame rate cap at 144, 120, 60 and 45, and there was always massive stuttering, it was unplayable even with the frame rate going between 45 to 60 and 60 plus with V-Sync off. What worked for me might not be ideal for everyone else, I am aware playing at 30FPS on PC is ridiculous in this day and age, but in this case it works and the game looks great and plays great. The only other time I had to play a game at 30FPS on PC was with Batman Arkham Knight, a notorious game with similar issues, and that one too played fine with no issues when I limited my frame rate. If you guys have trouble try what I did, and if 30FPS feels smooth and stops the stutter, play the game that way, it´s still enjoyable.

Yeah this game is bad in that regard.
