I'm Not able to play Jedi Fallen Order on my steam deck despite it showing playable on steam deck.
Please help!

This is the problem with all ea ♥♥♥♥ app, all battlefields are the same

I found another fix that works better in my experience:

1) Open desktop mode and Install Protontricks from the discovery store

2) Open Protontricks and select the game from the app list

3) Select the default wineprefix (if you get any 32 bit errors just ignore it and press ok)

4) Select Install a Windows dll or component and install d3dcompiler_47

5) Select install a font and install liberation font

If you see a WiFi error just restart the game, you might have to several times.

I ended up using this method yesterday.. and it worked yesterday on both Fallen Order and Battlefield V.. but just got home from work and decided to check because i believe EA has a security patch on these methods.. and I was right.. no longer working... EA needs to get this fixed..

And you know it works multiple times? or is this just anoth works once fix?

your right it's a 1 time fix... wont work again after.. i believe EA has a security patch for anything modified... they need to fix... this is stupid.. Origin was working perfectly... before switching they should have made sure this was smooth transition...

A solution is to add [SwGame-Win64-Shipping.exe] as a non steam game to the library.
You can find it in [.../steamapps/common/Jedi Fallen Order/SwGame/Binaries/Win64].

Unfortunately, the spoken language is managed by the EA-launcher, so currently I have no language.

Well, I managed 5 hours play time on deck a few days ago and now game wont load at all...
EA hurry up with an official fix please with your app launcher. Ridiculous!

proton experimental does notwork for me, even after it updatet. i try to redownload it, when this not works ill try to refund it. i played it 3 days without problems...ea is just crap

redownload + proton exp. does help it runs for now

Click the cog at steam menu then go to Delete Proton files. Do not need to reinstall.
Should be ok for now, I hope, lol.

This worked!!!! Just make sure to update Proton Experimental first!
