Nightbrother Village Jump

Anyone having trouble with this jump like me? I've had to respawn about 3x before I gave up. It's right after you pull the drawbridge and they close the main gate. You start sliding down and to the left and have to make a jump.

I'm way short every jump. No matter how long I wait to jump on the slop or early. I seen on the official forums someone else has had the same problems.

I don't remember this part but Im pass it. Maybe u have to pull a rope in midair and not seeing it?

Nope. I have no idea what I did but I just flew past it. It may be a glitch in the game? I pressed L-trigger to reach bur grabbed nothing the first try and slammed into the wall per usual.

Second time, seconds ago, I just flew over it.
No real explanation.

That was soul crushing for a good what felt like 20 minutes of hitting the wall. I hope no one else gets stuck like that.

Jump earlier than you think is required. It's a weird jump and hitting a bit early propels you farther for some reason. It only happened to me on this jump.

Thanks for the input I'm gonna fire up the game and give it another try after waiting a few hours. I don't think you can double jump it either because when I'd jump on the slide it would give the double jump animation (somersault) no matter if I hit the jump button once or twice.

It must be a game glitch. I just cleared it by like a football field first attempt on new game load try. It's like the slide jump bonus wasn't being applied on the first attempts.

Thanks! This advice worked on the first try. It was really frustrating to fall short on every jump, and sometimes I even got shots in the back to ruin the jump...

glad I'm not the only one who had this issue! Thanks for the assist. I think I figured out the problem though, it's not so much a glitch as a funky visual issue. The actual "end" of the slide is way earlier than it seems, so if you don't jump way before than you've been trained to from earlier instances, you'll miss the potential for a double jump, and fall into the pit.

This is the answer. The visuals of the slide trick you into waiting too long, I think most everyone who played fell a couple times before figuring it out.
