No they didn't. One developer hinted at the possibility of adding Steam achievements to the game before another representative claimed outright that Steam achievements won't be coming to this game, but they might be included in future EA titles that are released on Steam.
Yeah - as I've said multiple times, it's kind of insulting to consumers that they expect people to pay such a high amount for a videogame when they haven't even bothered to implement all of the features that are offered by a given platform.
I believe that the main issue for many people (at least for myself) is the principle of not supporting the release of software that doesn't even implement all of the features of a given platform.
Each to their own, though.
