Me.

Unless I'm forced to use the double I don't plan on using it.

i'm now about 5 hours in, and haven't had
a) the chance to get a double bladed one
b) feel the need to have one

also double bladed ones were 'cool' in 1999 when darth maul had one and had his badass entrance to the final fight.
but that's the only viable reason to have a double bladed one.
and since noone is darth maul ;) well .... that's the reason noone should have one either :P

i love single blade, however sometimes double bladed works well, crowd control or rapid firing blasters ect...

I wish i could get rid of the doubleblade look, I hate that design, I find it ugly.
Yes. They are superior. If they weren't, everyone in the middle ages would have had double bladed swords.

In my opinion single blade lightsabers are more elegant and fluent to use, if that makes any sence.

It doesn't. Just sounds like made up jedi nonsense.

The single blade combo and overhead attack does significantly more damage than its double-bladed counterpart but has less attack range. It's excellent for one-on-one fights, but it generally is in your favor to switch in the middle of fights for surprise counters and bursts - bursting with the double-blade delayed striking. Otherwise, the double-bladed saber is great for crowd-control or when you are ambushed by a group of several enemies and need to dispatch quickly.

Double Blade is great for crowd control and dealing with large groups of enemies.

Single Blade is the Boss/1v1/Dueling Weapon.

Playing on grandmaster jedi double blade is crucial, espcially when deflecting multiple blasters.

Double ended sword was never used in real life for good reasons. A quarter staff allows you to use the full length of the staff as a handle, but you can't take a light saber by the blade, whereas you can hold a polearm anywhere along it's length.

A saber "spear" would be awesome. A "Saber staff" is kind of retarded.

And this is why I am still hoping for a real Kotr because it DID make a difference with the light saber types with skills and abilities, the looks where secondary.

Youre meant to change between the two its why they made it a hotkey to switch between modes.

Single saber is stronger 1 on 1
Dual saber is for dispatching groups easily and easy deflects.

I use the single blade simply becausae its most effective in most situations but if im up against 4 or 5 + enemies at once ill dual wield. :)

I prefer switching between the two play styles.

Visually and style-wise, I prefer single bladed light sabers. I've always thought the double-bladed light sabers are slightly ridiculous.

But yeah, the game means for you to switch between the two on the fly depending on the situation, not just pick one for style. Double-bladed does less damage, but has better reach and is made for controlling multiple opponents. It also blocks more blaster fire and does it faster.

Single-bladed is the highest damage output, but you need to be careful when fighting groups. It is better for 1v1.
