Unless I'm forced to use the double I don't plan on using it.
a) the chance to get a double bladed one
b) feel the need to have one
also double bladed ones were 'cool' in 1999 when darth maul had one and had his badass entrance to the final fight.
but that's the only viable reason to have a double bladed one.
and since noone is darth maul ;) well .... that's the reason noone should have one either :P
I wish i could get rid of the doubleblade look, I hate that design, I find it ugly.
Single Blade is the Boss/1v1/Dueling Weapon.
A saber "spear" would be awesome. A "Saber staff" is kind of retarded.
Single saber is stronger 1 on 1
Dual saber is for dispatching groups easily and easy deflects.
I use the single blade simply becausae its most effective in most situations but if im up against 4 or 5 + enemies at once ill dual wield. :)
But yeah, the game means for you to switch between the two on the fly depending on the situation, not just pick one for style. Double-bladed does less damage, but has better reach and is made for controlling multiple opponents. It also blocks more blaster fire and does it faster.
Single-bladed is the highest damage output, but you need to be careful when fighting groups. It is better for 1v1.
