Oh does Tomb Raider also allow you to have healing with a slow animation so you can't spam it, is it also limited, do you also get healing back when you rest at your bonfire? Sorry, I mean meditation spot.

It certainly has souls like influences.

Pretty sure those features have been in games before demon souls was even a thought.

Individually, yes. You were missing the point. The combination of them all is what makes it inspired by souls like. Name me one other game that came before The souls franchise that had all these mechanics together. Bonfire, enemies respawning upon resting, leveling at your bonfire, limited healing where there's a small animation involved to prevent you from spam healing and having to find an opening to heal.

And don't give me names that only incorperate one of these mechanics. It's about the COMBINATION of them. It's souls inspired and idek why you're trying to argue it's not because it's not even an attack or a bad thing.

Yeah, it's not souls like...

Just disregard the bonfires, soul collection on death, estus allocation and use, leveling mechanic, X/Y/Parry/Dodge combat...

It can't be souls like since it has the climbing of tomb raider, the wall running of titanfall, the level navigation of dark siders...

smh.

Mechanics were used all around, but the success of Dark Souls is clearly put to use here.

Seriously am getting Metroid Prime/Ninja Gaiden vibes from this game! Gotta hand it to EA for making a great game so far!

I'm not defending ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I've played all souls games including Bloodborn and I do not even feel an iota of Souls in this.

Then i'd love to ask, what exactly do you think a souls like is?

An RPG where I wield a BKGS and go around killing ♥♥♥♥.

To be more precise, it's an RPG for me. The mechanics aren't really what give me the souls vibe.

The Souls games aren't RPGs.. They're action adventure games.. I mean they have RPG mechanics but the main gameplay is reflex based..

Okay so you have no idea what a souls like is and apparently to you Divinity Original sin 2 or Dragon age inquisition are souls like titles, gotcha.

Disagree. If anything it's an Action RPG.

No, not really. Neither of those have BKGS. I've also played lords of the fallen and Code Vein, but I wouldn't call them souls-like either.
