I'm not sure what responsiveness has to do with being the type of device, since they are both likely connected via USB.
I started with a controller because of the recommendation, but ended up trying mouse & keyboard out of curiosity. Having to relearn the mapping didn't feel worth the switch, though, but I didn't have any issues inherently with scheme/feel either.
If I had to guess what prompted Respawn to add the recommendation, it would be; the platforming. Maybe having an analog input allows for the finesse to make quick shorter jumps in succession? Don't these warnings usually appear in 2D platformers commonly? I haven't noticed any section or mechanic that seems to favor any input type, besides the one you are just comfortable with.
I gave up on dark souls2 because it was unplayable with m&k, god thx this game works much better otherwise i would have refund it.
