Anyway - the thing is, dismemberment isn't dynamic (the cut sections are always the same per enemy, unlike in, say, Metal Gear Revengeance ), so unless Respawn actually did prepare dismemberments for humanoid characters and simply disabled the function, it won't be easy to mod it into the game.
Seriously though, did you read the part where I said "it won't be easy"? I'm not ruling it out, just stating that it's not gonna happen anytime soon because from the look of things, it is unlikely it will be something as easy as re-enabling a disabled function - so unless you got a pal who infiltrated Respawn and is ready to smuggle out the uncooked Unreal Editor project, it's unlikely to happen soon.
you mustve not seen many mods
Funny also telling me that I must have not seen many mods, when I've been a quite active modder on many games. Including Battletech, for which I actually self-learnt CSharp, runtime code injection and IL Code just to add a feature I wanted before starting the campaign... (which I didn't even play in the end... smh)
You mean the man who got rich selling merchandise to kids is going to lie and say his movies showing extremely graphic subject matter are for kids? Say it ain't so, nerd.
Based on the films that isn't the case. I hate the film with a passion, but Kylo does decapitate one of the red gaurds in TLJ.
"staple" except it's not? It's quite literally only done in a handful of games (the only ones I remember are the older jedi knight games and force unleashed 2.) and everytime it happend in the movies something big or plot related was happening. You act like it constantly happend and that's just 100% false.
Saying it's lazy is also pathetic. It's most likely due to disney.
That's the definition of an exception, though? It's the first R-rated movie ever that grossed this much. It's a gigantic succes for sure, but the definition of exception until it happens more often.
And I guarantee you a lot of it has to do with the fact it's linked to the superhero franchise. If those weren't big, Joker wouldn't have been big, it's that simple.
and yet there are already mods available that completely replace your character model in Fallen Order, the game has only been out for a few days :P
Nexusmods already has a few visual mods available for Fallen Order including a replacement visual model for Cal
Besides I do wonder if the dismemberment is not already in the game but can be enabled through a variable somewhere in the game's files
Give it a few months and someone will work it out I am sure.
Don't forget most recent EA games have been multiplayer games thus you will never have many mods for those. This is the first proper singleplayer game EA has released in a decade. While yes, official mod support makes modding a lot easier for the community, even without official mod support people find a way.
Besides this is not a normal EA game, it is by Respawn who seem to sit a bit outside the normal EA nonsense. For example this game doesn't use EA's sh*** DICE engine. It uses Unreal Engine 4 - which as you should know is one of the most easily moddable engines out there.
Looking on Nexus forums there is already a few mod requests up, including red lightsabers, sith visual model, sith powers and of course... dismemberment.
