Game dosen`t recognize controller

I have a wireless xbox one controller. Does anyone know how to get the game to recognize it. No menu asking which control option I would like to use. Tried disabling controller companion but made no difference.

Xbox controller and steam controller both work fine for me.

Try connecting it with a cable. That's how I use mine.

I had the same problem and installed these drivers rinse and reboot. Hope this helps !

Make sure you download drivers matching your system architecture (32 or 64 bit)

I have this problem with an afterglow controller, brand new, newest drivers. No reaction to the game at all. I'm asking for a refund and buying it on PS4 and starting over.

I have the F710 Logitech. Same problem at the beginning. For me , it worked after disconnecting the usb sender and connecting it again while in the game. PS4 controller works also fine , but without sound!?

I am using an Xbox controller for window [that is literally what it's called on the box] it was working fine yesterday and the day before; tried to play today and it does not work at all. I tried it with other games that use controllers [Assassin's Creed Odyssey; Deus Ex Mankind Divided; Tales of Vesperia; NFS: Heat] and they all worked fine so I know its not the controller. I verified the integrity of the files and the came back fine but still doesn't work.

Yes i guess it is somehow related to the update from EA. Neverless I managed to get it working again (for the moment atleast) by manually updating Windows 10. Maybe it helps you guys too

Hey, I had the same problem. I managed to fix it by going to the Steam menu, and clicking settings. Once there, click on Controller and General Controller Settings. From there it will have "Guide Button Focuses Steam", un-check this and check Xbox Configuration Support. That should solve the issue
