Game Won't Launch
I have the game downloaded. It is unpacked and ready to launch. However, every time I press "play" I receive a pop-up telling me I need an app called "link2ea" to play in which I'm redirected to the microsoft store where there is no such app.

Yes, I have Origin installed.
Yes, I did restart Origin.
Yes, I verified my game files.
Yes, I restarted my computer.

Still the issue persists. Anyone else having the same issue?

I have the exact same issue; i'm playing right now, what I did was running steam as Administrator and Origin as Administrator. After that it worked

I ran both as administrator, and still didn't work.
Did you launch it from steam?

Yes ... because the game is not listed in my Origin ( yet ) , launch from Steam is my current only option.

Try launching the game from Origin. Worked for me when i did that. Its weirdly in both steam and origin.

I'll assume you already have everything installed

This worked for me:

Open Origin and uninstall the game there;

Install the game using origin and mark everything you are asked to install;

Start the game from Origin;

Forget the steam.

origin says i dont own this game. so i buy it twice, on steam and on origin and i still cna tplay it because i dont own this game. maybe i should have pirated it, your "protection" is against paying costumers.

I had the same issue. I did have Steam and Origin on separate drives however. Ultimately I had to uninstall Origin and reinstall it on the same drive as Steam. It worked just fine for me after that.

Be sure to have the latest version of Origin installed, version 10.5.55.33574 - 0 or higher. Link2EA is delivered by Origin.
Thanks for this, updating the game on origin/origin itself worked.

Same here, check for updates of the game in origin, if the game its not updated in origin it wont start

Another fix for those of you who wish to keep origin. If you open the origin app and look at the game on there instead of steam that is where it will tell you about any updates / game files verifying (etc)

Another fix is, just ask steam for a refund.

I have a slightly different issue. Ever since I downloaded and started playing JFO, my steam no longer works properly. It takes me a half hour or longer just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with my PC to get steam up, ensure the game is updated, and hope I can play. It's beyond frustrating. Steam also only downloads updates at kbps now, instead of my 65MBs it use to. It feels like the 90's again, with my download speeds.

I've deleted steam and reinstalled it with no luck. Hell, i'm staring at the 'connecting to steam account' box now. I think i'm gonna have to do a full clean install and redownload my games. This is ridiculous. What are the chances that EA's Orgin lite BS caused this mess.

Anyone ever find a solution to this? I am having the same problem.

This is waht I did and it worked for me, when I switched back to 2020 it didn't lauched though, so yes, when you pay it, stay on 2019 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sThLshqxOPU

When you launch it from steam, or launched it the first time, did you get a window to link your steam and ea accounts?
I get that window but it starts lagging and sometimes crashes. I tried deleting origin but it doesn't seem to work.
