EA Desktop or Origin?

Should we keep both on our PC's now? I bought jedi fallen order through Steam and it refuses to run without origin which i removed because I now have to use EA Desktop with EA Play and Xbox Game pass for PC. Do I simply uninstall it from Steam and install i through EA Desktop? Thoughts?

Why did you uninstall Origin?
Just leave it there, not that big. Just make sure it doesn't run with startup but only when you need it.

EA Desktop is so buggy in it`s Beta form..... Also, anyone figure how to add desktop shortcuts from Ea Desktop games????

If you play this via game pass you have to link to desktop, and desktop is no worse than already sucktastic Origin to me, which I uninstalled and usually only ever have installed when I'm actively playing one of the few appealing to me EA games (ME/DA is about it).

Apparently not a feature. EA wants you to have to fire up desktop every time you want to play any game so you have to endure marketing sleaze. I recommend tweeting them to let them know how stupid this is. I do, and thrashed their survey.

PS - uninstalled this game after 30 mins and glad I got to try it for "free." It's beautiful and plays well but it's painfully linear with ridiculously contrived hollywood action pieces that mostly feature TR-esque climbing/swinging/jumping - not my kind of game. It might open up more later but not something I want to spend more time with to find out. To me this is a console game that's going to be most appealing to people that love console design in games - and that is definitely not me, since I consider consoles to be the very worst influence on game design.

?? So you're saying Open World isn't console design?

Like it's fine if you don't like the game but this logic is incredibly odd.
