Ice Slides

I bought this game for pc last December and I am still trying to get past the ice slides. What's the deal? It seems like the movement keys don't work. I've spent hours and hours trying to get past the slides and it's starting to get on my nerves. Does anyone have any tips or tactics to get past this nonsense?

There's really nothing to it. You adjust your course to the left or right depending on the direction of the slide. Sometimes you'll need to hold the direction down longer for hard turns, but most slides you'll just need to make small corrections in one direction or the other.

Thanks Arik, I'll try it, but so far nothing I do with the movement keys seem to help.

Are your movement keys the default WASD or did you change them to something else?

I changed them Arik. I'm Left-handed, so I use the arrow keys.

Could try changing the keys. If the problem still persists, try verifying the game files.

On controller I have to hold the joystick forward while I slide and turn it as I push forward. So maybe with PC hold the forward directional button throughout the whole process.
