Not So Fast achievement

Adding achievements was a nice move, but I can't figure how to unlock this one. The fact that it's very rare (0.2% of the players have it) could mean that the conditions to unlock it are harder than the official description.

"Defeat 25 enemies while they are under the effect of Empowered Slow"

Any help?

Sounds simple enough. Maybe it's just one of the achievements that aren't working for Steam currently.

Get both Empowered Slow and Burst Slow. Then you can hold the slow button until it does an area slow effect. Then you kill the affected enemies. Easiest thing is to go back to the first stormtroopers on Zeffo. I remember it being finicky with what it counts when I got this achievement on PS4.

At the moment I only have Empowered Slow. I've slowed+slayed dozens of troopers yesterday with the mouse & keyboard, and today about 30 more troopers with a gamepad (RB to slow, X to kill). Yet it didn't unlock. I've unlocked another achievement yesterday, so I'm not sure what's the issue.

I think it's only counted when you do the finisher animation (the stab-through) when an enemy has low enough health and affected by the Empowered slow.

No, you can use it on low level stormtroopers that die in one hit as well and it will count. You just have to be sure to use the full slow by holding down the button until Cal throws both arms out to the sides.

This is not unlocking, I must have killed 60 enemies while empowered and is still not unlocking. The storm troopers die with one hit so what I do is I slow them down (I make sure to hold the button without releasing), the controller vibrates, the enemy is flickering, and with one hit i kill the trooper....repeated this for dozens of times, the achievement is still not unlocking.

Don't know about the controller vibrating but does cal do his little arms spread out animation? That's the thing you're looking for, do it to the basic level stormtroopers to ensure a one hit kill.

Went nuts trying to do this achievemnt until I realised there was a second level to slow... I never even used the damn slow powers during the game they were so pointless.
