Can't launch game, any help?
So to start off, I originally bought this game on November 30th. I installed it and attempted to launch and I got the error:
"link2ea://launchgame/1172380?platform=steam&theme=jfo
application not found"
When I close that error message, I get a steam error message saying the operation was canceled by the user.

I have attempted everything I could find to fix this issue. I'm unable to verify my local game files because that's not an option when I navigate to that menu. I've restarted, cleared the cache, all that good stuff. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, how did you fix it?

I have the same issue.

I had this issue when it tried to update recently, the fix was to delete the libeay32.dll file from C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\ which sorted the issue on the next run.

Game wasn't working on steam for me, just wouldn't launch but it did ask me to login to Origin, I logged into Origin and had the game there as well and installed it from Origin and just started playing from there no problems.

I have a similar problem.

I either see a short flash of a window (roughly the install window), or the error message you described. (But no "Aborted by user" message)

It also dosent show up in my Origin ...

I had the same problem. Go to settings Apps, uninstall Origin and reinstall it.

I already reinstalled the Steam and Origin (as well as the game multiple times), on windows.

Do you mean someting else, like a Steam option?

Atleast for me it hust gives the error "Try relaunching your game to continue linking your accounts."

Relaunching the game on steam does nothing.

Also setting EA-Link to run as admin for all users (windows 7 compability options) wont help.

I had a similar issue. Installed on steam, went to click start Origin would flash for a second and then disappear (kind of - symbol still on task tray) and I couldn't start the game or sign in, or link it to my origin account. I was unable to verify my local files because it wouldn't let me have that option. This fixed it for me:
- Turned off HDR and lowered my resolution from 4K to 1920x1200.
For some reason the next time I clicked start the stupid Origin thing didn't disappear/flash and I was able to link my Steam/Origin accounts and it loaded into the game.
- Restarted everything, changes resolutions back, and it works fine now.

why do they have going through origin anyway. I got it to run the first time, but had a 2 gig video card, so ran slow. I upgraded to an 8 gig video card and now will not launch ( no error) just won't launch. tried it through origin also. also origin will not let you run offline. no more origin games for me.

I cant speak for OP, but i already tried reducing the resolution.
(And ther dosent seem to be a HDR option on Windows 7?)

Also the only (additional) symbol poping up in my Bar is from Steam, and when the window is open long enough to see it is the "Update bevore Starting" box.

I have this same exact issue. This worked for me, but it took me to the Origin page which prompted me to enter a product code. I can't find one anywhere! Looked all around my Steam client, and it is nowhere to be found. Presumably, Steam is now linked to Origin, because I have the game in my Origin library soooo??????

This sounds somewhat similar to mine, for me Origin was never kalled, and steam always had a starting error, but when i started the games executable i got the actevation screen.

For me reinstalling steam worked. (Move your common apps bevore and back in after, or it will delete everithing on the primary lokation.)

It said "up to date" when checking, but it actually wasn't ...

PS: Other debug hint given to me (which dident help) were:
EA:
1) Kill all [User] Processes (exept EXPLORER and TASKMGR)
2) Clear C:/Windows/Temp
3) Log out and close origin
4) Delete %ProgramData%/origin
5) Reinstall the game.

Steam:
Uninstall origin, and let Steam reinstall it.
