GPU runs very hot in this game
Hello, fellow gamers.
So, my specs:
CPU is ryzen 5 1600
16 gb of RAM, 3200
GPU is 1080ti

I'm used to play games in 1440p. And most of the time my PC takes it well, but with this game GPU reaches almost 80°C. The only other game I've had to strain my PC like that was FFXV, and it was famous for being somewhat okay-ish optimized.
I tried playing around the settings, went from ultra to high, and it dropped to 75°C, but that is still too hot.
The only way my GPU reaches 65°C or colder is if I'm downscaling the resolution back to 1080p, but that looks... Well, bad, at least on my screen.
Strangely enough, on reviews and YouTube videos people play this game on simmilar rigs and their GPU never hits this level of temperature. Am I doing something wrong, or it's supposed to be this way with this game?

Depends on other factors maybe like humidity/dust where you live ect as well. Don't worry about 80c that's normal running temps. Once it goes over 90 you should keep an eye on it. Have you tried replacing the thermal paste on the GPU heatsink for any difference? You haven't accidently given your case a rough knock and a screw fastening the sink may of come loose?

Anyways, don't be concerned about 80c, like I said, its normal. This game is very demanding. Your card won't be damaged if you're concerned about it. It will shut down before it overheats. I think I hit around 78c with my card. I have the 1080 GTX

80c is nothing. Don't worry.

same problem here , i never reach at 75 c , all games run around 60c or less , but in this game it get to 70 easily, don't matter if you put all in Ultra or all in low , the temperature are the same , resolution , fps to 30 , 45, in options , nothing! is clear there is somehing wrong with this game , the only way i get low temperature is locking fps in 30 using a rivatunner or directly in Nvidia software

Cap your frame rate to 60... could be the issue.

Every discrete GPU on the market (mobile or desktop) can sustain about 95° indefinitely; 85° isn't really showing a lot of stress. Past 95° for extended periods. GPU lifespan starts to suffer, and most GPUs will thermally throttle, long before they hit the actual failsafe shutdown temp (ca. 105°, varying by GPU).

tl;dr? Don't worry about those temperatures, unless you're seeing that on a liquid-cooled rig (something is wrong, in that case).

I fix it using Alt+E in Nvidia
