Combat Challenges... Kind of suck?

I played through the whole game on grandmaster, and am still on it for the challenges, and didn't really die a LOT outside of early oggdo bogdo and malicos boss fights, but the challenges just seem to be a lot of:
enemies spamming unblockables
enemies that were never designed to fight alongside each other stunlocking you
frustration in general
Don't get me wrong, the combat in the game isn't terrible, but I feel it may not be quite up to par for the new challenges. I'm not going to say I'm particularly good at the combat, and I should probably lower the difficulty for the challenges, but am I the only on that finds them unnecessarily frustrating?
