And EA’s fault for forcing Respawn to make the game need Origin to run in the first place. Which is why running through Steam is a bit of a pain and there are no Steam achievements.
Absolutely. EA is no peach and this shouldn't be considered a praise by any means. I'm just sick of the competition between launchers.
Is it a pain in the ass to have steam, epic, and origin installed? not really on my end, but is it a pain in the ass to require two of them open at the same time to run a game? yea.
at least this isn't as bad as the console wars. downloading a client for an exclusive game is a lot easier than buying a new system for an exclusive
Definitely unoptimized, but the fact that I was able to play the game without crashing via origin after crashing consistently via steam can't be overlooked.
this is true and obvious and that might have been the issue for me the entire time. when troubleshooting, i did run a CPU limiter and still experienced crashing and stuttering on steam versus when i did the same with origin
also possible, i don't know enough about that to make that conclusion
