False Minimum requirements specs!
Page says: Minimum:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

OS: 64-bit Windows 7/8.1/10

Processor: AMD FX-6100/Intel i3-3220 or Equivalent

Memory: 8 GB RAM

Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7750, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 or Equivalent

DirectX: Version 11

Storage: 55 GB available space

I have i3 4170 gtx 1050 ti 12gb ram. Also found a way to play this game at low setting and still at 720p low setting except shadows medium cuz low shadows make game looks weird and its stutter in all areas. WTF???

Absolutely true! This is a warning to anyone looking to buy this game: DO NOT BELIEVE THE MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS GAME!
I have an i3-3240 3.4GHz
8GB RAM
NVIDIA GTX 750Ti 2GB
Yet the game runs like absolute crap for me even on lowest graphics.

Facts all around

The game stutters no matter what sadly. It is an issue with the engine they used and how assets are streamed in.

Stuttering has always been an issue I originally played this on an fx 8350 with an rx 570, then upgraded to a ryzen 3700x and a 1080. Stuttering still happens. Moved the game to an ssd, still happens.It's just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing in the game unfortunately.

Minimum is minimum you can play it can't you? Nowhere is it written in stone that you can get 720p medium settings at 30fps.

The minimum requirements are what you need for the game to work. the recommended requirements are what you need to get the game to work well. If your PC does not meet the recommended requirements, your game will probably run like ♥♥♥♥.

If you're able to find graphics settings that work for you when first getting in game (i.e. starting/continuing from the main menu), then consider playing without opening the pause (customization/databank) menu. If you need to pause the action, consider using photo mode instead (to be enabled manually in the settings first).

Requirements aside, I could play on 1440p60fps at the Epic preset, but performance would deterministically tank exactly after opening and closing the pause menu.

If you can put up with that, then the framerate should be fairly stable. Some stutters, specifically when loading a different area, are inevitable as they're related to storage I/O and not shader compilation. Unfortunately this PC port doesn't seem to make good use of the level design and its transition points.

To summarize:
1. launch the game and reach the main menu;
2. from here, choose graphics settings that are appropriate for you;
3. start/continue your journey;
4. avoid opening the pause/customization/databank menu.

You can then catch up on the databank entries at the end of your session, before closing the game.
I hope this is useful. Cheers!

Have some logic. if the game looks too good and your pc is trash don't expect it run good loooool. playing 4k 60 fps just fine.

This is very useful, thank you. Does pausing the game tank FPS *forever* (til next reload?) or (as I'm guessing) does it recover after noticeably coughing up a hairball?

You may find that swapping graphics preset is a valid workaround, but the bug occurs again next time you pause. And even then, I'm not sure performance gets back where it should be.

GitHub discussions on DXVK and Proton, plus the multitude of Windows users reporting the same problem, seem to confirm this is a game bug.

Did you find my suggestion useful in the sense that you were able to verify this behavior? Just curious, the more data points we have, the better!

Haven't actually tried it, honestly. What's "useful", really, is the direct attempt to assist, instead of the far more common endless kvetching, that helps no one and poisons any forum interactions. Even if it DOESN'T work, you deserve praise, and I'm willing to wager it works =) .

back before I got a new GPU (when I was using a GTX 970) I actually found that overclocking my GPU led to horrible graphical errors and instability, unlike in any other game i was playing. once I returned it to normal settings in MSI afterburner it ran decently well at medium settings 1080. so a 1050ti should be plenty...

It runs reasonably well at 1080p on my mobile 2060 RTX, also, with only a very transient stutter at transitions. (down to 80-100 Hz from 144 stable) with most settings maxed.
