Even the hardest setting is extremely easy.
WRONG. I could access the new content at meditation after finish the compaign without starting NG + . Knowing that it's strongly recommended to do the challenges when you got most of the skills as possible I think it's a good point to do them here and you can switch difficulty as your wish. Cal inquisitor you need to play NG +. So basically it's kinda a false NG + . Let's be honest here I loved the game but i'm defintely not gonna say that everything is great . NG + is a huge letdown the game wasn't designed to get NG + because if we could keep upgrades it would be a walk in the park but maybe make the ennemies scale at least enough to be threat and add new moves or making XP gain give something else as boost for later game . They clearly had no plans for a real NG + but they still tried to deliver something since people really wanted it. I can't blame them but I can't say it is what will bring me play the game again. Basically NG + offers cosmetics xD considering I could access all new challenges after I beat the main compaign.
It also seemed like I picked up skill points faster. But in fact not true, my stats are still the same no matter what mode I play.
Choosing NJ+ on the menu or in an old save starts a new run.
In NJ+ you have access to the meditation training and all cosmetics. You also keep your skills to an extent. Any skill that requires push, pull, or the double blade remains locked until you get that ability in the story. All other skills are unlocked automatically once you access the skill tree at the first save point on Bogano, this way you can do the meditation challenge at your base level for an extra challenge.
Push, Pull, Jedi Flip, Double Blade, Split, Wall Claws, Stim Crates, and all BD-1 upgrades still need to be collected.
Force Echoes and scans are still available and give you XP. Instead of spending XP on skills, you can choose to spend it on additional HP, Force, or Attack Power. Each tree requires 1 skill point at first, but the cost grows the more you spend on one tree. Meaning after 3 upgrades of Attack Power and nothing else, the cost will be 4 SP to raise attack again, but still 1 SP for the other two options.
Like in the Souls games, in NG+ cycles enemies get more HP and attack power. Which along with the meditation training is the incentive for getting additional XP.
Choosing to go into NJ+ after NJ+, will put you into NJ+2, where enemy health and power increases further.
They could have still gave us powers accordingly, so the story still makes sense, but don't make me search, and level up my character again.
Also, let me fast travel back to my ship at any point on the map, as some of these maps are silly long, with multiple levels that do not seem to link up logically.
Or did you mean something else?
