Is there a patch or something to bypass Origin?

I have a lot of problems running Origin on my PC so wonder if anyone knows a way I can get around it. I just bought the game.

No you can't you MUST use origin because the game launches from there it's like Ubisoft games on Steam that require uplay to launch the game.

This game doesn't run the actual Origin client. It runs a lite version that does not do anything aside from check your ownership key and save your game to the cloud. Origin doesn't need to be running before you start the game.

Edit: Considering the game does not appear in your Steam profile, I think I know why you have trouble running Origin. That's exactly why the game requires it, Steam credentials can be spoofed, Origin, not so much.

Already refunded it. Currently its pending in my account as they accepted the refund request fast.

Or I assume you think I obtained the game illegally. You should be less judgy, I can prove it if it would help you sleep better at night?

my reasons for not wanting to use Origin is because it freezes my PC as soon as I open it, I have not been able to solve why nor do I care. I also wanted all my games in one single place on Steam, if I wanted an Origin game I would have bought one.

I make my profile private now so cheers.

They should make EA origin optional for extra content or playing online games. I remember far cry 2 that you need uplay to access the dlc and extra contents.

You can use a proxy to run the game for the first time with Origin.

After that you can use offline mode without internet connection to play it offline.

Just in case anyone gets here from Google like I did, you have an executable in Steam\steamapps\common\Jedi Fallen Order\SwGame\Binaries\Win64 called SwGame-Win64-Shipping.exe - it launches the game without the need of Origin or whatever!

TY so dang much. I have...........personal issues with EA and their Garbage service and dont want their spyware on my pcs. I only bought the game because of the sale AND I really really wanted to try it. I was about ready to demand a refund when the game launch was demanding in install that crap service! tanks a tun!
