Dathomir Backtracking

Shortcut to village does not allow a way to the swamp and witch’s horn because the log under the bridge cannot be grabbed onto in the reverse direction. Why did they do this and why haven’t they fixed it?

Yes you can. you can get to any part of the map you were last in. That includes the area where the big bat bird was. Look for cracks in the walls to crawl thru.

You can get back there, but you essentially have to go through the entire level again to get there and leave.

I know that you can get back there the long way, my point is that they made a short cut that is somewhat pointless that could be fixed easily. Am fine with no fast travel if the shortcuts actually work.

Yeah I found a lot of pointless venture's too. So I keep exploring, hoping I find a reason for them to be of use. Cosmedic is not a good reason. I did find more echo's in the strange's of places. I'm missing but a few.

There is a shortcut platform leading from Collapsed Settlement (level 3) to Brother's Bastion (level 1) that I failed to activate on my first visit to Dathomir. Without that shortcut, I can't figure out any way of getting back to those lower levels to access areas I haven't explored yet.

I believe you can still go down the slide bit by the climbable wall.

OK, the climbable wall that leads to the tomb. I just kept trying to jump down to the slide below, but Cal kept plummeting to his death that way. I had to jump to the climbable wall and climb down as far as possible before jumping down to the slide. Apparently three feet of additional height is fatal for Cal. LOL

You cant get from the nightbrother village straight to the swamp. It is impossible. He needs to go back to the top and go down the slide.
