What exactly can you do when your XP from death is impossible to recover? (fall death on ice slide)
So I died due to repeatedly falling on the 2nd planet on the ice slide that goes down to the elevator in the ice caverns. Upon going back to find where my XP ended up, the golden beam thingy (what are we calling this?) is just floating in the f*cking air at a part in the "slide" where it's impossible for me with my current abilities to reach up to it.

Whenever I get close and think I'm touching it... spamming my interact key doesn't work, and there's no option to interact with it either. What exactly can I do in this situation? Obviously it's only a level, but... it was almost a level of XP...

You’d think they would make it spawn at the top of the slide. I wonder if that’s intended or if it’s a glitch?

It can't be intended, because it's a long slide with like three different jumps into blowing air... so it's like segmented yet the beam showed up exactly where I died, except 10 feet in the air. I just went down it again, and lo and behold I am able to launch up high enough to go through the bottom of the beam... but there's no option to press interact. And pressing interact doesn't work. And spamming interact doesn't work. what the frick.

anyone experienced beams like this / know how to interact with them?

I haven’t completely died on a slide segment so I don’t actually know how getting your XP back works in that scenario.

Dude, this exact spot just got me too! Same thing, unable to interact with the restore point. God, I hate the ice slides!!!

damn. what did you end up doing, just moving on? I've tried just about everything lmao haven't played since this morning. figure I'm just gonna say good bye to it..

JUST so everyone knows. This is in fact some kind of weird bug, not just a difficulty in the mechanic of recovering a floating orb. There is no way to "move" this beam, either by dying to actual enemies, or dying at a different part of the ice slide. It just stays there.

If you die to enemy you can get it from enemy hit back, if you die to other sources that are unreachable again(mercenaries, environment...) then it is on the ground where you died(or close to it guess), if its on slide guess its impossible to recover it since(iirc getting this kind of XP is like sensing echo = u cant stop on slide and meditate welp)....

TIPS: 1. if you have difficult slide and keep dying you can still use stimpacks during slide so your chances of getting it done increase
2. if you have lot of xp and nearly lvl up just use respawn and kill enemies until you lvl up(repeat this) get skill point and then go next

MISC: 1. there is "flying" bug that can help you fly all time and maybe there is chance to get this XP in air if its not like sensing echo(to fly - jump then press(slow or push forgot which one now lol) and then jump again(this makes you "fly and never fall" by repeating this two steps..Note: dont overuse this because it can cause that some terrain/map parts wont render, then you must use closest respawn to render those parts...if you have all/most explored its good way to fast travel....if it helps with XP in air is not guaranteed

2. Actually there is far worse way to lose XP that this(you can avoid it in general), but if you die to some enemy and then die to other enemy before you restore your XP, your previous stored XP on first enemy is lost and you can regain only almost no XP from second enemy that killed you(this is quite sad I would say)

3. There is plenty of XP "lying around" and with respawn enemies you can grind your level so even if you lose your XP somehow you can get it back "other" way around
