Can't attack!

My game is completely glitched out for some reason.

I was on a planet, Went to do a jump attack. I hit the button at the last second but my guy didn't do the attack.

Now, he won't do regular (X) attacks at all. He'll do the heavy attacks (Y) and deflect and everything, but he won't do regular attacks.

I've done file fix, Restarted the game, everything I can think of. What's going on?

have you tried rebinding the buttons on the controller? Or using the keyboard and mouse to see if it's effected there use also.

Restarting the Game didn't solve it. When starting a new Game on a new slot though, it works again, but only for that new save game...
The old one is still broken and I don't want to replay everything until Illum >:(.

Sometimes going back to square can be the lesser of 2 evils. Minor glitchs and/or bugs can run you ragged in a vain effort to find a fix. Where restarting only hurts as time in-game. So where do you want to put your valued time now.

did you find a solution? the same thing is happening to me with both my xbox and ps4 controllers

Yes I did, I had to exit the game and boot it back up.

Change from fullsreen-windowed to fullscreen and it works fine

A re-boot did work for me.

Same problem. It seemed to self-resolve when I later jumped A and then attacked while in the air with X. Try that, maybe to helps you
